As 2023 is coming to an end, we are reflecting on everything that has happened this year. The many events we attended, the progress we made, the challenges we faced, and the people that were part of our success. It’s been an exciting year and before we move on to the next, we want to take the time to share some of the highlights from the past 12 months.
January to April 2023
The year was off to a special start, when Senorics was featured on German television and the short documentary came available on YouTube. Meanwhile, our CTO Dr. Robert Brückner spoke about miniaturized near-infrared spectrometers for consumer applications at the JOM webinar and was later interviewed for our blog. We also visited partners in the USA and published our first blog article on the analysis of cannabis. The first episode of the SenoTalk this year focused on our product vision and Sascha gave an overview of what we had planned for 2023. We also interviewed Christian on the topic of cannabis analysis and Hannah shared her top tips to successfully lead a team.
May to August 2023
In early May we participated in Texprocess in Atlanta and for the first time showcased our handheld device for easy yarn analysis in the USA. We also had the honor to welcome an Indian business delegation at our headquarters and we participated in several cannabis conferences, including the Medical Cannabis Congress and the International Cannabis Business Conference in Berlin. As every year, the team also participated in the Rewe Team Challenge and ran 5km through beautiful Dresden. Our 6th company anniversary marked the halfway point of the year and we soon after held our annual company conference.

September to December 2023
The last months of the year were packed with tradeshows and other events. Thomas and Robert participated in the ZEISS Venture Days and got the opportunity to network with other venturing teams. We also visited expopharm in Düsseldorf and exhibited at Cannafest in Prague, two tradeshows that allowed us to demonstrate our novel handheld device for the analysis of cannabis to industry experts and consumers. We also published an interview with Dr. Christiane Neubaur, a German pharmacist, revolving around medicinal cannabis and the opportunities and challenges German pharmacies face. Other notable blog posts revolved around diversity as a core value at Senorics and the semiconductor boom in Saxony. We concluded the year with our annual Christmas party at our headquarters in Dresden.

With that, we say goodbye to 2023 and focus our attention on the upcoming months. We want to thank you for your loyal support this past year and we are looking forward to continuing our collaborations and embark on new projects in the coming year. We wish you a a Happy New Year 2024.
