In this article we are going to focus on how exactly a measurement can be conducted using our handheld decide – the SenoCorder.
To analyze materials and their compositions with the SenoCorder you need SenoSoft or SenoApp. SenoSoft was developed for computers, while SenoApp was made for mobile phones and is accessible via the Play Store and App Store.
Both, SenoSoft and SenoApp, allow you to conduct a measurement by connecting and calibrating your device, selecting an application, and detecting the material composition of the object that you are analyzing.
To get started, you need to log in to your Senorics account and connect the SenoCorder with SenoSoft or SenoApp. This can be done by ensuring that the Bluetooth connection on your phone or computer is turned on, and the right device name selected within the software.
Once connected, the device needs to be calibrated with a calibration standard. This is done to ensure that any future measurements are accurate. When you purchase a SenoCorder Solid, you also obtain a user guide which explains in detail how the device is calibrated correctly.
Following the successful calibration, you need to choose your desired application. All SenoCorder Solids come with a standard application – the textile application, which enables you to identify silk, wool, cotton, and polyester. Any additional applications need to be purchased separately.
It is crucial to select the right application as this is the only way to ensure that the SenoCorder Solid can successfully identify and quantify the analyzed material. For example, if you select the textile application you won’t be able to analyze food, but only textiles.
Once you have selected the application, you can place the SenoCorder on the object you would like to analyze and start the measurement through the touch of a button. A few seconds later, SenoSoft or SenoApp will display you the result – for example silk, if you the measured object was a silk scarf.
All results are automatically saved within the SenoCloud and can be accessed via SenoSoft or SenoApp at any time.
