Happy birthday: A short summary of Senorics’ 5th anniversary

Written by Valerie Morris | Jul 12, 2022

Senorics recently turned 5 and we celebrated the occasion with employees, customers, investors, and supporters on July 6th, 2022, at our premise in Dresden.

Our mission as a company is to give people a seventh sense, the material sense, and over the past five years we have made tremendous progress on that journey. We transferred our technology from the laboratory to the market and are now ready to disrupt the mass market – making Material Sensing available to everyone.

We would like to take this as an opportunity to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey. Our success is yours and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the support we received from individuals and organizations regionally and internationally.

Let’s take a look at how we celebrated this special day.

Celebrating from morning until night

The morning of the anniversary commenced with opening speeches from Sebastian Gemkow, Saxon’s State Minister of Science, Prof. Dr. Staudinger, Rector of TU Dresden, Dr. Franke representing Dresden major Dirk Hilbert, Dr. Korth, CEO of ZEISS Spectroscopy, Ulrike Helfferich COO of European Photonics Industry Consortium, and our CEO Dr. Ronny Timmreck. The ceremony was accompanied by music from Sabina Egea Sobral, Eva Dollfuß, and Matthias Wilde from the Dresden Philharmonic on their saxophone, violin, and violoncello.

We were touched by the encouraging words each and every one of the speakers shared and would like to thank them again for their ongoing support.

After the opening ceremony, Senorics’ CTO Robert Brückner presented the highlight of the morning: a visual timeline of our technology followed by the official product launch of our new and improved handheld device – the SenoCorder 2.0 as part of the SenoLab. The launch was received with applause and excitement by our guests, who got a change to see the new device in action.

The morning event ended with a champaign reception, cupcakes, and guided tours through our premises at “Alte Fettschmelze”. Everyone got the opportunity to take a look at the laboratory, explore our new facilities, and complete a crossword for a chance to win a subscription to SenoLab.

In the evening we gathered once again to celebrate our anniversary with a big birthday party. The highlight of the evening was a shared BBQ, during which our guests got the chance to network with each other. We also drew the winner of the crossword puzzle. Congratulations again to Dr. Angelika Wolf and the Integrated Center for Applied Physics and Photonic Materials (IAPP), who will be able to use the SenoLab for a whole year.

The celebrations continued late into the night with dancing, laughter, and many good conversations.
