Written by Valerie Morris | Mar 18, 2024

Senorics has been growing rapidly since its founding 7 years ago and now consists of several teams that work together to ensure smooth processes. One of these teams is the Sales and Marketing team: a group of 7 people who are the first point of contact for customers, promote our products, and make sure that the public is up to date on what’s happening behind the scenes. The Sales and Marketing team is led by the amazing Hannah Szynal, who makes sure that communication within the team is transparent, everyone gets their say, and people are motivated to tackle the latest projects.

In this article, we will share five facts about our Sales and Marketing team, so that you can get to know them a little better.

The team is incredibly diverse

Diversity is one of Senorics’ core values and so it’s not surprising that the Sales and Marketing team reflects this value. The team members come from various countries and cultural backgrounds, including India, Ghana, and Germany. Hannah, the team lead, also has a great personal interest in learning about diversity and she actively applies her knowledge to ensure an inclusive environment for all her team members.

They juggle time zones with ease

If there is one team at Senorics that juggles time zones like pro’s, it’s the Sales and Marketing team. With one team member working from New Zealand for the past three years and one that recently returned from a one-year stay in Taiwan, the team is used to holding meetings very early in the morning and late at night. Last year they even worked from four different countries and time zones: New Zealand, Taiwan, India, and the USA. Yet, their work results are outstanding and their customers happy with their service – proof that mobile working works and that it increases employee motivation if done right.

They are your first point of contact

No matter whether you fill out the contact form on our website, send an email or react to one of our Social Media posts: in the majority of cases the Sales and Marketing team is your first point of contact. They will process your contact forms, provide you with answers on LinkedIn, and answer your inquiries over the phone or via email.

They utilize the sprint method to get their work done

The Sales and Marketing team utilizes the sprint method (Scrum but) to organize their busy working schedule, prioritize tasks, and make sure everything gets done in time. The sprints last for two weeks, and every fortnight the team meets up to plan the next sprint. These meetings are also a good opportunity to request feedback or input from team members that might be necessary to complete the upcoming sprint. All tasks are allocated a certain number of points, with one point translating to roughly two hours of work. This way Hannah and her team can judge how many tasks they will be able to get done in the time they have available. Which leads us to...

Microsoft Planner is one of their favorite tools

...Microsoft Planner, which is one of the most important tools of the Sales and Marketing team. You may ask yourself, why? Because Microsoft Planner is the homebase for all upcoming tasks and the sprint planning. For every task a card is created, and these cards are organized into three buckets: backlog, sprint week one, and sprint week two. Additionally, the cards are assigned people and labels so that it’s clear who is responsible for the task and what category it falls into, e.g. social media, blog, sales pitches, and admin.
